From the past to the present, looking to the future

the history and growth of the angle vale soccer and community club

We were started in 1989 by Maxine Singlewood, from very humble beginnings, with few resources and few players all of 3 teams.

The club was originally developed to encompass all sports and develop each sport such was the vision of the founder. The Sports and Recreation Association was then set up to do this job in which we are now partners of.

The original playing pitch was situated at Peachy Rd. with training pitch at Angle Vale, over the following year’s player’s numbers have increased from 36 players to over 250 juniors with some 80 senior players.

Originally the club had no permanent club rooms for meetings and socializing and only a little caravan for food.

We have recently moved to the brand new sporting facility on Fradd road, Angle Vale and this is now home to 18 Junior sides and 5 Senior sides. 

Implement planning and scheduling rosters for training sessions due to the expansion of the club assists in the smooth running of all our sides from one site. The whole Angle Vale community is benefiting from the new built sports facility.

The life of the club is its volunteers; the strength of the club is its players

Angle Vale Soccer and Community Club has always focused on the triangle of business, focusing on Leadership, Planning and Organization with strong volunteer support to drive the club into the future.

Giving our expertise to other sporting codes and working towards the continuous improvement of sports and recreation in the local and surrounding area

Angle Vale Soccer and Community Club have always had a keen interest to develop the community’s awareness of sport and benefits of involving a strong family focus.

Angle Vale Soccer and Community Club have taken initiatives in areas of providing lighting facilities for the grounds, provides an equal opportunity for girls and boys to play from Under 6 all the way through to the Under 18’s.

The Club have also developed our senior’s teams, where we started with two teams and in 2017 the Club has grown to field three senior men's teams and 2 senior women's teams.

This dedication has brought about young adults and retiree’s to join the club in which they were once members or had played. Angle Vale aim to start and develop a “All Women’s Team”

The new Angle Vale Sports facility is situated on Fradd Road, Angle Vale and is a testimony to the growth of the Angle Vale Soccer club in the community.
